Where to get hazelnut butter in the UK

Hazelnuts are one of the main ingredients in a very popular chocolate spread. They have a distinct smell and taste but I’ve rarely met a person who doesn’t love them. Hazelnut butter is just blended nuts.

The vast majority are made with roasted hazelnuts with their skins left on. This gives the butter a much richer taste. You won’t find many of these butters sold in stores and if you do, it’ll be pretty expensive (around £3 per 100g). You’ll typically need to buy it online, where it can be found much cheaper (around £1.60 per 100g).

When searching for hazelnut butter always look for one that lists only hazelnuts as the ingredients. You’ll commonly see it state 100% nuts on the packaging.
